This bouquet of tulips in stained glass is a
hanging artwork that sold to a couple who found my website on the internet.
The tulips, the vase, and the background are all constructed with the
copper foil method, which enhances the non-geometric portion of this
artwork. The border is constructed with two sizes of lead came, which
compliments the geometric and symmetrical nature of the border.
The clear glass background has a seedy texture, which means it has tiny
bubbles mixed through it. Most of the colored glasses are represented
fairly accurately here, except the center stripe in the vase, which is
brown, not black as it looks here, and the bottom of the vase, which is
deep purple.
Overall size is 18
inches wide by 30.5 inches high, including the custom made walnut
frame, which looks black here. This one-of-a-kind tulips stained glass
artwork is perfectly crafted, and comes ready to hang with plenty of
braided wire and screw-eyes for easy hanging inside any larger window
with a wood, metal, or
plaster sash window sill.
The price of this unique piece of floral stained glass art was $1700.00. |
