In
the late summer of 2017, I made three beveled glass panels for the
entry of a home. Although they look great in person, the photos I was
able to get are just decent. The two panels that flank the front doors
are shown here; the third panel is around the corner off the foyer in a
small hallway leading to the garage, laundry and utility wing
of
the home. The small size of that hallway resulted in photos of the
third panel that are not even worth showing.
The bevels used here are all 1.5 inch squares. I used three different
sizes of lead came; 1/4, 3/8, and 3/4 inch lead cames, with a U-zinc
around the outside edges for added strength.
The bevels run in straight lines, although they don't seem to here,
particularly in the photo to the right. > > > It's my
photographic skills that are off, not my stained glass skills.
The photo below is the best of the photos I took showing the entire
front entry. |
