Although
this very colorful entryway graces a residence in Colorado, I am always
willing to take on commissions wherever the opportunity takes me.
Sometimes, this means traveling, which I enjoy, and sometimes a
commission can be done entirely "through the mail." See the Commission Process page
for a
more complete explanation of how this can be accomplished.
In this
entryway, colors and design elements were
adapted from a beautiful area rug that lies on the floor in this front
hall. This artwork is leaded, and indicates the intricacy of design
that my more than three decades of experience have allowed me to
achieve. Look closely at the craftsmanship of any glass artist you may
be thinking of commissioning... there are many "professionals" whose
craft is not great. The life expectancy of the artwork is very
dependent on the precision of the craftsmanship. If you are unsure
about the skill of a stained glass craftsperson, visit my Craftsmanship page to educate
yourself concerning what to look for. |
