This series of four
freehanging
abstract stained glass artworks are all done in clear, textured
glasses. The
'checkerboard' pattern uses one clear, textured glass that has been
turned horizontally and vertically in alternating squares. Artworks #1
and #2 include round beveled glass pieces. All four include lead
overlays (the lines that go 'nowhere').
These colorless stained glass
artworks have no
wooden
frames. Instead, each one is surrounded with a large zinc came that
adds support and a framed look to the artwork. This all-clear
style looks great hanging in an
interior opening as well as in a window.
These artworks were all sold to separate
buyers. The
style is
unique and would be easily adaptable to just about any setting. Imagine
a contemporary stained glass design like this as the showpiece
of your home's entrywayl, a wall in your office's conference
room,
or a contemplative religious setting.
