 This
stained glass artwork depicting a sun setting behind palm trees with a
wild op-art background is currently for sale. The stained glass is
mounted in an oak
frame that looks dark in this main photo, but can be seen better in the
smaller photo below.
The sun and palm trees are done in semi-opaque glasses, and everything
else is done in
cathedral (see-through) glasses. The artwork is leaded
together with 1/4 and 5/32 inch lead cames.
Stained glass always looks great in person.
Both the light and dark colored glasses look fine to the human
eye, but a camera cannot achieve the same thing.
This was a difficult artwork to photograph well. In the photo above,
the palm trees, the sun, and the ligher glasses all look right, but the
dark colored glasses and the wood frame look too dark. However, in
the photo below, you can see how the
dark colors and the wood frame really look, although the lighter
glasses all look too white.
 This sun themed stained
glass artwork is 30
inches in diameter. The
wood frame brings the total size up to about 34 inches.
